We had a lovely time here. The courtyard tables are tucked under the trees, which makes the restaurant feel really charming and romantic. The salads were fresh, service was quick, and the pizzas were nicely thin and crisp. They also have beer on tap and long drinks from the tap, and the prices are lower than at the waterfront restaurants nearby.

The setting is beautiful, and the beer was as good as anywhere. The pizza, though, was a real letdown. It took an hour to arrive, and seemed to be made with cheap, ready-made frozen crusts from a grocery store. Charging the price of a proper pizzeria pizza for that quality feels completely unfair. The owners should be ashamed.

We only stopped for drinks, so I can't comment on the hotel or the food. It has a lovely, almost magical garden-tavern feel, and we really enjoyed sitting among the surroundings. The drink list was fairly limited, though, and the toilets had a bit of an odd smell.

The pizza was edible, but the butter knives weren't much help with it. What really put me off was the service. The young staff seemed uninterested, one girl rolled her eyes, and another looked annoyed when asked to bring us bottled soft drinks. I've rarely had customer care this bad. I'd go somewhere else.

The restaurant is beautiful, which makes the painfully slow service even more disappointing. Our kids waited 45 minutes for ice cream, and the youngest ended up crying. There were only two tables occupied, so I can't understand the delay. The pizzas took even longer.
