Naantali Spa is nicely located, and the hotel is decent. But the pricing setup made it feel like every little thing was an extra charge. The room wristband or card only gives you one entry to the spa. If you leave for lunch or pop back to your room, you can't go in again later without paying another time. At this price, I'd expect unlimited spa access during the stay. The facilities themselves are fine, but the policy makes it seem like the hotel is always trying to get a bit more money from guests, and that takes away from the relaxing atmosphere.

The location was beautiful, the service was good, and I liked the rooms and breakfast. The spa was nice too, but half of it was under renovation, and we hadn't been told in advance. The air in the room was so dry it felt like the Sahara to my lungs.

It was okay, and the grand-looking lobby made a good first impression. Our room had no hot water, the breakfast was pretty poor, and the spa itself felt quite small. Nothing else major to complain about.

We paid 794 euros for three nights during the New Year period, and the stay didn't feel worth that price. The gym was excellent, spacious and well equipped for a full-body workout, and breakfast had plenty of fresh food. Still, several problems brought the experience down. Our room in Club Naantali Residence had a persistent damp, muddy smell, and some of the utensils were visibly dirty with food stains. We also tried repeatedly to call reception, the restaurant, and room service from the in-room phone, but nobody answered. It was effectively useless when we needed to reach staff. Dining was another disappointment. We arrived just before 21:00, and only a small cafeteria with a very limited menu was open. All three main restaurants were closed, and the other options were unavailable or fully booked. For a resort this size, that was surprising and wasn't communicated well. We understand New Year prices are higher, but the service, cleanliness, and availability didn't justify the cost. We left feeling the experience fell short of the property's price and reputation.
