Scandic Eden Nokia

Parking is cheap, and the layout is clear and simple throughout. The front desk and Little Italy have both given superb service every time. The usual Scandic breakfast is basic, though they’ve improved it by adding more items. I went back and forth between four and five stars, then chose five, especially now that there are new car charging stations right in front of the hotel.

We stayed for two nights, and the service was hopeless. When I asked the receptionist for a kettle, which I expected in a hotel like this, she wouldn’t even make eye contact and seemed to avoid me. Maybe she’d had an argument with someone and was in a bad mood, but that’s how it came across. The floor in our room was broken. There were plenty of rooms unbooked, so we couldn’t understand why we weren’t given a better one. The experience was pathetic, and the staff were unfriendly. I strongly don’t recommend it.

The hotel seemed to have been renovated only in parts. The wellness area was good, especially for kids, and otherwise everything was alright. Being by the lake seems like it would be nice in summer.

The pool and spa were a huge hit with the kids. It was very clean, had things to play with, different areas including ones for little children, an outdoor pool, and slides with timing. We all had a lot of fun, and the kids were really, really tired afterward. Our room was great, with loads of space for the three children and a separate main bedroom for us, plus a sauna and two bathrooms. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English, so I had no trouble and felt welcome. We were a day early in Finland and needed somewhere to stay, so I found this hotel online and thought it looked like a good idea with the kids. The family suite was nice, the price was good, and the swimming and spa area looked great. My expectations were exceeded. I think next time we visit Finland, we’ll plan to arrive early again just so we can stay here, and for longer. Thanks very much!
