Hyvärilä Holiday-and Youth Centre

I spent a few days at Hyvärilä, staying in one of the mökki and also in a tent. The prices were good, the staff friendly, and there are lots of services. Campers get to use the sauna in the main building as part of their stay. The washrooms in the camping area could use some renovation but still work. The soap had run out, though, and wasn't refilled while I was there. There are plenty of hiking options within an hour's drive, so it's a great base if you want to see lots of nature without spending much time on the road. I'd come back anytime. Just be aware that if you're sensitive to noise, it's better to pitch your tent farther from PielisAreena. The building's ventilation makes a quiet but constant background hum, which takes away a little from the peacefulness.
