Juthbacka Hotell

The breakfast had a good range of options and tasted good, a typical Finnish breakfast. My room was cozy, the bed comfortable, and I loved being able to choose from so many pillows. The bathroom was nice too, and the hotel felt like home. The mobile AC was a real help. It's in a calm area outside the center of Nykarleby, though the center isn't far away. We arrived later than the usual check-in time, but the friendly, flexible staff made it easy. Service was good, though staff weren't always available at the hotel.

You can swim in the nearby river, though they oddly ask you to shower before going in. Maybe that's just a Finnish thing. The place is pleasant, with plenty of parking for cars and reasonable prices. Breakfast was good, the rooms were comfortable, and there was a nice kitchen with a kettle and tea bags.

The classic car area beside the market is open for everyone to visit, and parking costs 5 Euro per car. The street food was tasty. The market happens only 2 days in a year, and has lots of mostly used goods and products. Collectors should find it especially interesting, with classic and old items for sale.

There was a huge amount of stuff, ranging from junk to good antique pieces. I was disappointed that there wasn't much electronics, though I did find 2 interesting things to buy in 2019. There were also lots of identical China toys, probably cheaper in the supermarket.
