I had to cancel my whole trip because of a medical emergency, so I cancelled my booking with Apartment Oulu. I gave the owners more than three weeks' notice, and they had found someone else to rent the place, but they still wouldn't waive the fee. Their policy is to keep the full booking amount for any cancellation, whether you give notice or not. So if your booking doesn't include free cancellation, you risk losing the whole amount even if they rent the apartment again, possibly for more. I found their way of doing business unethical.

The apartment was excellent, right by Oulu train station and within walking distance of everything.

It's a nice, clean place and a good spot to stay. There were a few small things missing, like toilet paper and garbage bags, and the sauna took a while to heat up.

The beds were comfortable enough for me to sleep well, and everything else worked smoothly. Picking up the key without contact was easy too.
