Forenom Oulu City Aparthotel

We stayed for seven nights, and the apartment really did feel like home. The window looked out over the city's busy streets, and having breakfast included made mornings easy. There was a good range of food, plus shared kitchens on several floors for anyone wanting to cook and shared laundry rooms. In the apartment we had a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle, and nice cutlery for two. A big mall and grocery store are right in the next building, with lots of nice, posh places to eat just a few minutes away on foot. The famous police man statue monument is nearby too. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

My flight to Oulu, Finland, was canceled as all flights had been suspended, and it wasn't my fault. Forenom apartments showed no empathy and refused to reimburse me, even partly. I think the company should negotiate and at least offer a partial refund. I'll file an official complaint with the Spanish Customer Services office.

My room had a leaking tap, and it was dirty and dusty. There was only liquid soap, and no light in the shower, so please put a small lamp on the ceiling. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, the windows were big, and there was a clothes dryer, tableware, a fridge, microwave, kettle and hairdryer. It also had a TV and Wi-Fi, and the individual password made entry to both the room and hotel easy.

Everything else was okay, but this wasn't a good place for summer. The windows couldn't be opened, and the ventilation seemed completely off. Moisture built up while the sun heated the room, leaving it like a sauna with awful air. I felt as if I was running out of air while being cooked. In the middle of the night I ended up wedging the corridor door open, hoping to get a little air moving.
