Seeing the aurora from the lake, then again on the walk back to our cabin, was a highlight. The alert app let us know it was out. The scenery all around is beautiful, with forests, lakes and big hills, and the spot by the lake is handy for most activities, which are within a 10-minute drive. We split our four nights between a cabin and one night in a snow igloo. The cabin was a comfy place to warm up and relax. It had the essentials, including a stovetop, though no oven. Sleeping in the igloo felt like a once in a lifetime experience. The sleeping bags helped us stay as comfortable as possible, and heading back to the saloon in the morning was a treat. Lucky Ranch arranged a mix of outings for us. We rode with Anu, went snowmobiling with Antti and Jonas, and also booked an amethyst mine tour, ice floating, a reindeer park and a husky tour. The team, including Antti, Anu and Jonas, were welcoming and lovely to chat with. The saloon was a nice place for food and drinks, a chat with staff and other guests, and a meeting point for several activities. One of the best holidays we've had. Roy carried me calmly through the winter forest, with a little sense of humor along the way. Anu's friendly, knowledgeable instructions helped us feel safe in the saddle, so we could just enjoy the lovely ride and our little adventure.

A night in an igloo was a lovely new experience. We slept a good 10 hours and didn't freeze 😁 The staff were really nice, and breakfast was excellent!

The peaceful scenery and stillness made the morning ride so special. I had a beautiful hack with Anu and my horse Oliver. Anu was kind and helpful throughout. Thank you for a day I'll remember.
