Breakfast was brought out when we wanted it, with just the right amount of food on the table so nothing went to waste. The place was clean and the service friendly. There was a little extra stuff in the yard, but don’t let that put you off. Great place!

There’s fishing in summer and skiing in winter, so come by in either season! The hotel is affordable, conveniently located, and easy to reach from the zoo and Santa Claus. The hosts are welcoming and happy to tell you what’s happening nearby. They even took us to a reindeer farm. Excellent breakfasts, and the sauna is wonderful too!

The beautiful Iijoki river is right next door, and there’s a village shop nearby. If you’re driving north from the south on road 78, you don’t have to go all the way to Pudasjärvi to shop in advance for a fishing trip. You can grill your own food in the yard. The breakfast was comprehensive, and the customer care was good while still leaving us the freedom to come and go like at a hotel. Thanks to the owner for the friendly service and tips about the lean-to.

The hostess is from St. Petersburg, which was a nice surprise. We stopped here while heading to Rovaniemi and loved the whole stay.
