Fresh strawberries with oatmeal were a lovely touch. We were welcomed warmly even at midnight, in an old sanatorium building surrounded by unique nature. It was a nice experience, and an uplifting one above all.

The pool was nice, but the gym only had basic equipment and could use an upgrade. The hotel was generally clean, though the smoking room sits in the middle of the bright bridge, which felt poorly thought out. For the room price, equipment in the rooms was hard to come by. I can't imagine spending a whole week at a camp there, especially for rehabilitation. This is a hotel in an iconic part of Finland, and it also provides rehabilitation services. When I visited, the staff seemed exhausted. Service was already at the usual low level that makes Finns independent, and the lack of management skill around room bookings, food, and accessibility made it worse. The building layout is complicated, so maps are useful for newcomers. The hotel had put maps around the buildings, but nobody told us about them and they were hard to find. That made for a poor first impression, and it was hard to relax after that.
