The views were amazing, and the snowmobile tours are worth the money here. Paljakka isn’t very popular, so there were basically no queues anywhere. There’s no park, but plenty of off-piste spots, including whole slopes that haven’t been maintained, which was really awesome. The longest off-piste run I skied was about 600 meters. Just an awesome ski resort!

I like how calm and quiet this ski center usually is, and it doesn’t get crowded. There are lots of different slopes, plenty of snow, and a good snowpark. It’s one of my favourite ski centers in Finland!

We’ve really enjoyed our time here on the several occasions we’ve come to ski. The downhill slopes are nice, and the ski tracks are excellent. If you rent a cottage, though, bring all the food you’ll need.

Along the walking route around Rakennusjärvi lake there’s a wooden hut with a fireplace. Even if you don’t ski, you can use the serviced walking trails, which pass through snowy forests and offer beautiful river scenery.

Cross-country skiing in Paljakka was wonderful, surrounded by beautiful nature. Hotel Paljakka restoran is very good and serves local food.
