We came for two days during the off season and had a lovely stay. The lake view from both our room and the restaurant was amazing, and that’s also where breakfast was served. Breakfast was tasty, especially the barley porridge. The whole place felt scenic and peaceful, a nice setting for relaxing. I’m not sure how that compares with the busy summer months. Everyone on staff was very friendly, and we liked the house cat Mikko too. We rented the wood-fired sauna and loved being able to cool off with a dip in the lake. Kayaks, rowboats, SUPs and padel rackets are also available to rent. Definitely recommended.

Sahanlahti is beautifully set beside the lake, with gorgeous views and a peaceful natural feel. We especially enjoyed the marked hiking trails and the chance to get out on the water. The facilities were excellent, including clean restrooms, hot showers and handy kitchen areas. The staff were welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. We also had delicious food at the on-site restaurant, which had a friendly atmosphere. A great place for a relaxing caravan holiday, highly recommended.

We’ve stayed overnight, eaten dinner and breakfast, and used the sauna at the upper lake here several times. Each visit has been lovely. The staff are kind and helpful, and the food is nice. The breakfast buffet is well worth trying, and the niskalampi sauna is one of the best in the area. The whole place has a really nice atmosphere.

We visited recently and stayed in the brand-new villas right by the clear Lake Saimaa. They’re wonderful, and the food at Restaurant Koskivahti was great too. There was a wedding that day. We enjoyed the clear water and saw a swan in the warm lake. It also seems like it would be a lovely place to visit and stay in winter.

The hotel rooms are OK, and the breakfast was fabulous. There are great lake views, plus a classy restaurant, Koskivahti. For something more casual, the beach grill/bar serves tasty burgers, pizza and salad. Lots of activities are available too, including padel.
