We had a delicious lunch at the Linnankrouvi to finish our day at Mustio Manor, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to Finland and visiting again. Earlier, we took an excellent guided tour of the manor house. Our guide was approachable, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The tour really helped explain the estate’s importance, and the Linder family’s role in Mustio and Finland as a whole. The park was a joy to walk around. If you’re British and enjoy the grounds of country houses like Chatsworth or Lyme Park, you’ll feel right at home. We visited on 20 August 2025. Thanks for a lovely day, and keep up the good work!

The bar lunch was delicious, and the castle grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. Sari Saarinen gave a great tour, with lots of interesting information about the place. She was funny and pleasant too.

The mansion is beautiful, and the park is well worth a walk. We took a guided tour and had lunch afterwards, which was delicious and came with good wines. Our guide knew the subject inside out and spoke perfect Swedish. He made the mansion’s story both interesting and fun. The history of Svartå bruk and slott felt like a reflection of Finland’s industrial and social development, with some juicy details about people in Finnish high society along the way.

The museum interior is exceptional, and the tour was very well done. I went one afternoon last summer with my companion and luckily we were the only ones on that tour, so we could have it in English. The older woman who works there was lovely. Just keep in mind Finnish takes priority for tours. I hardly speak Finnish, though my Swedish is passably decent.

A peaceful, relaxing stay, with one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Finland so far. There’s a huge forest area with lakes, parks and old buildings, plus a great restaurant and breakfast. The rooms have a nice old-fashioned look and are clean. A great find for a weekend away.
