The sauna was the standout for me. It looked newly renovated and felt like stepping into a different hotel from the grey, fluorescent hallway with old carpeting. The showers there were much more comfortable than in the rooms, with big overhead rain showerheads and even conditioner dispensers, though the rooms only had shampoo and shower gel. Bring cold beers, the opener and glasses are provided, along with fresh towels. There's no eucalyptus steam or anything fancy, but it's a very good, typical sauna experience. I relaxed there for an hour pretending I was somewhere better than the grey town of Riihimäkki. The rest of the hotel was average. The bar and restaurant were acceptable, nothing special, and the room was standard and somewhat recently renovated. The bathroom hadn't been updated recently and was a bit worn, but very clean. There's also a basic "gym" in a tiny windowless room with a treadmill, cycle, and a few free weights. Since it's beside the lobby and bar, you have to walk past entering and leaving guests while sweaty. It's a perfectly fine business trip stay if you need to be in Riihimäkki, and a nice representation of finnish sauna culture.

Friendly staff who speak English, and a buffet breakfast that exceeded my expectations. There's a gym with weights, a cable machine, treadmill, and bike. The hotel itself is basic and fairly expensive, and the stay felt pretty average.

The room was nice, the facilities were good, and there was free wifi, friendly staff, and a sufficient breakfast. I may well give the hotel another try next time I'm in town. A few things were off, though. The minibar glasses were seriously unclean. The TV sometimes crashed, and I learned from the front desk that unplugging and reconnecting it was the only way to get the picture back. It turned out to happen every time on certain channels, Frii or Hero. I'm also unsure about the sound insulation, since I could hear conversations in the corridor quite clearly.

The breakfast room was lovely, with an amazing spread and lots of choice. It's a nice hotel with two saunas. The one downside was hearing the doors slam a lot.

The sauna was genuinely pretty good, and everything worked well. Still, the price felt a little high for a small city like Riihimäki.
