Arctic City Suite

The location is very good, close to everything, and the hotel itself is nice. The rooms, though, are another matter. Water flooded the whole bathroom when we showered because there's a huge gap under the shower tray, and they should fix that urgently. The room was cold and we couldn't turn the heating up. The walls are very thin, so you hear everything from the other rooms.

The central location was excellent, with buses to Santa Claus Village and the airport only a five-minute walk away, making it easy to get around Rovaniemi. Service was very good, and the staff gave me nothing to complain about. Breakfast had a decent selection and was nice, though it was the same each day. We went about an hour before it ended and found the restaurant extremely busy, with no seats left after we'd plated our food. The complimentary lobby juices were a nice touch. The room was the weakest part, maybe two stars: small, dated, and in need of modernization. There were very few outlets for charging, little luggage space, noticeable noise from the hall and neighboring rooms, and quite a lot of dust. Overall I'd give the hotel 3 stars, or 3.5 if that were an option, considering room, service, and location. The high seasonal price is understandable, but still disappointing when the room standard doesn't match the cost.

The double rooms are on the small side, but still big enough for two. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had a great time here. Breakfast was amazing, with a huge selection of breads, cheese, ham, sausage, eggs, fruit, cakes, coffee, tea, and juices, and everything tasted great. In winter the candlelit breakfast gives the place a lovely atmosphere. It's a nice little hotel in central Rovaniemi. Shops, department stores, and buses to Santa Claus Village are all within a five-minute walk. Thanks so much for the experience.

For my first visit to Rovaniemi, this hotel was a great find. It's right in the city center and has a really cozy feel. Everyone was wonderful and helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant staff. The restaurant is well worth trying for dinner, very tasty. The room is basic but has what you need. The shower is a bit small, but that's okay. I'll be back!
