Hostel Café Koti

As a solo female traveler, I found Hostel Café Koti convenient for a one-night stay in Rovaniemi. It's close to a bus stop and lots of restaurants. The rooms were clean, and each bed had its own locker. Bathrooms are outside the rooms, but were well kept and easy to use without having to wait. There's a shared kitchen, too. Breakfast costs 9 euros and has a good range of food. Staff were decent, friendly, and very helpful. Comfortable and convenient.

The dorm was quiet and comfortable, and surprisingly roomy for a nine-person room. My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights and had a very good experience. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, with what you need, including hair dryers. The kitchen was clean and well equipped as well. Everyone gets a locker opened with a code, so there's no key to carry. There's also a sauna available for one hour a day.

I wasn't staying at the hostel, but stopped in for breakfast once. It was affordable, a good way to start a day of activities, and the coffee gave me a much-needed boost. They also let me store my luggage on my last day for a small 5€ fee, which was perfect since my rented apartment didn't offer that option. Really good service.

We had a great stay in a nicely decorated room with a private bathroom. The bathroom is a shower room, which isn't my favorite, but it was clean. Snow plows woke me in the middle of the night because it snowed every day. My partner never heard them, even though we were right by the roundabout. The café has lovely decor and art for sale. We only tried the buffet breakfast, which was simple but just right for a winter day of activities: oat porridge, fresh bread that might come straight from the oven if you're lucky, and good toppings. The location is great, close to tour companies and a short walk from the shopping center, river, and Artikuum museum. Access to the kitchen was a bonus, as was the sauna, though we didn't use it. Definitely recommend staying here.
