Lauri Guest House

Some of our favorite memories from our Rovaniemi trip came from Lauri Apartments and the Lauri Handcraft Shop. The apartment felt peaceful and homey, with traditional Finnish decor, everything we needed, and spotless rooms. It was cozy and full of charm, close to the city center but quiet and surrounded by nature. The shop is in the same historic property and has locally made items like wooden crafts, reindeer horn pieces, and distinctive gifts from Lapland. You can tell the things are handmade with care. The hosts and staff were welcoming and happy to share local tips or the stories behind the products. Their care for both the accommodation and the crafts really came through. Staying at Lauri Apartments and visiting the shop made the trip feel like a cultural experience connected to Lapland.

The old loghouse was a lovely, character-filled place for my group of four and made our trip feel special. Lauri is a real hidden gem in Rovaniemi, with an ideal location a short walk from the city centre and museum. There is a small souvenir shop downstairs with authentic handmade items made from natural materials. You can even watch the artisan working through a window into the workshop, which makes it extra special. The stay and the shop were both highlights of our trip, and we'd highly recommend a visit for something local and memorable.

The shop is really cozy, with handmade products that seem very good quality. We stayed in one of the apartments as a family and found it clean, tidy, and comfortable. The center is only a few minutes away, which made the location very convenient.

Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, and the location made it easy to explore while still giving us somewhere quiet to relax. Lauri went beyond what I expected. I loved my stay and would happily visit the shop for a gift or something for myself.
