Riverside luxury suites

The villa was spotless and felt magical, with a sauna and plenty of bedrooms. I stayed there last year, and on my birthday we saw the northern lights. It was the last day of the trip, and it felt like a dream come true.

The winter view of the broken lake and the peaceful atmosphere made the place feel special. The accommodation had a well-designed layout, comfortable rooms, a properly equipped kitchen, an indoor fire, and a sauna. It is a bit far from most places, so you’ll need to get a taxi, but I thought the location was fantastic for a holiday.

It’s beautifully set beside the river, and even food delivery from Rovamiemi is in range. There’s one main bedroom and two smaller ones, so it works for as many as three couples. The home is well equipped, and I’d recommend it and come back. The ventilation is the one drawback, since it can be a little noisy.

We could see the aurora borealis from the garden, which was amazing. The house has a master bedroom and two twin rooms, and the sauna takes about 45 minutes to heat up. Beside it there’s a double shower and a door out to the garden. We stayed with our five-month-old daughter on our first visit to Rovaniemi, and felt at home from the moment we arrived. The living room is bright, with a huge window, a garden door, and a terrace. The open kitchen connects to the living room, making it easy for a few people to cook together. It’s well equipped with quality gear for small dinners, and there’s a little dining area, sofa, two seats, and a stack of wood for the fire. The house was amazing, and we’d gladly stay again. The airport is about 10 minutes away by car.
