The owners were friendly, and their little dog was really cute. Staying one night was fine, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer. We’d booked a room, and it turned out to be on the second floor of the owners’ house, with just a curtain separating it from their area. The kitchen was theirs too, and getting in and out meant passing through their living room. They didn’t make us feel unwelcome, but we felt as if we were intruding on their privacy, probably just because of our personalities. I think there may be a separate house in the garden for rent, and the photos of it look very nice. Almost all the pictures of modern rooms on Google are from that extra building. None show the upstairs double room we actually got, so be careful about what you book and expect.

It was a nightmare. The bed sheets were disgusting, with body hair on them, and there was body hair on the bathroom floor and sink too. The towels were dark gray, almost black, and dirty instead of clean and white. We couldn’t figure out where to lie down and didn’t sleep all night. There was no apology and no refund. Don’t go.

We arrived late, but the hosts still made things easy and brought us the key at midnight. Virpi Villa was cozy and clean, with everything we needed, and the location and quiet surroundings were great. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it.

The host was welcoming and really nice, and even though circumstances made us late, we still got the key and checked in without trouble. It’s a great vacation spot in Roavniemi, close enough to walk to the city center.

Villa Virpi was a cozy, warm place, and we really enjoyed our stay there. My girlfriend and I found the people lovely, and their dog was very cute. The supermarket is under a five-minute walk away, while Rovaniemi town is about a five-minute drive and Santa Claus Village around ten minutes by car. We had a great time, thanks Villa Virpi, and recommend staying here when visiting Rovaniemi.
