Olkka Ranch

I was only passing through and booked one night without expecting much, but the stay turned out to be a lovely surprise. The hosts made me feel welcome and were easygoing and hospitable. My room was clean and cozy, and the shared spaces were tidy too. The sauna facilities were amazing, with a gentle steam bath, and we even went for a forest walk beforehand. Breakfast had a generous spread: berries, jams, porridge, eggs, bread, cold cuts, cheese, salad, cucumber, paprika, coffee, and more. At my request, I also got to practice handling a horse from the ground, which helped with my fear of horses and made the stay feel complete. The garden flowers and plants were beautiful, and the animals were a bonus for me. I’d recommend this place to anyone who likes being close to nature and appreciates these kinds of comforts. After a day at work, petting the dogs, sharing good food, and taking a sauna with my colleagues was a relaxing reset before the next workday. It’s a great place for a small group, since you get the accommodation building to yourselves. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, and this was easily one of the best.

The couple and their family were incredibly kind, and the farm stay itself was wonderful. We were glad we came and will definitely visit again.

I chose this place for its affordable price and because it was nearby when I visited Kumakivi. It seems the hotel or motel was made from an old barn, with a rough, country-romantic feel and architecture you don’t see in an average hotel. The signs could be clearer, since Google Maps doesn’t show anything.
