Villa Viktoriya

This wasn’t what we expected. The outdoor trash can was tiny, and the house guide said we had to take our rubbish to a recycling center about 15 km away. We hadn’t been told about that when booking. We’d also confirmed with the landlord before arrival that cleaning was included, but the guide said we had to clean before leaving or pay extra. When we arrived, the floor was dirty, the furniture was dusty, and the couch had stains. It made us feel like the only cleaning the place gets is what renters do. The internet didn’t work at all at first, so we had to buy another SIM card. There was a wildfire on the island during our stay, and the power was cut off. It went out again before we had a chance to cook, and that second outage lasted about 2-3 hours. With no running water during the blackout, we had to take our children and grandparents back to the mainland. We would never have chosen this property if we’d known about the lack of trash and cleaning service. The yard was covered in weeds too, unlike in the original pictures. The place didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it. One star out of five.
