Kuukkeli Log Houses Aurora Resort

The location was amazing, tucked away from town and right in nature. Our spacious two-bedroom house was charming, and my family and I had a wonderful time over our two nights and three days at Kuukkeli Log Houses Aurora Resort.

The apartments sit in a beautiful snowy forest, and the staff were really friendly and helpful with recommendations. Thanks to them, we had a fantastic snowshoe hike. Breakfast is a few km away at the Shopping Center. That worked fine for us with a car, since we could head straight to our activities afterward. Hotel guests can use the sauna for two hours in the evening. Outside that time, it’s reserved for paid activities.

The room heating didn’t work, and I caught a bad cold that I’m still suffering from. I tried to reach the staff, but no one was available. When I raised the problem, they were rude and showed no empathy. They suddenly ignored me and started talking to other customers. They don’t take responsibility for managing the property. It felt like they only cared about the money I paid. The worst experience in Finnland, and it ruined all the good memories. I’d never recommend it. Even if my parents’ enemies came here, I’d try to stop them at least once.

The bed was a bit narrow for me, but everything else was super agréable! The space was lovely and very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a living room full of thoughtful details that made our day great. There was a sauna and swimming pool, and the staff were super nice. They provided everything we needed even though we arrived later than expected and were hard to reach by phone.
