The walking, biking, and skiing trails are right beside this old-fashioned fell house / hostel, so the location couldn’t be better for getting onto the paths. We stayed two nights. The TV wasn’t working, perhaps because someone had taken the antenna cable, and the kitchen stove was out too. The serviceman fixed both straight away.

The kitchen and living area are modern, with an induction hob, oven, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. Toilets were clean, and free washing machines and a drying room were available. Our one-night stay included sheets and towels, plus breakfast at the Holiday Camp Hotel, about a 10-minute walk away. The cabin is a very large log building with seven rooms and shared men’s and women’s toilets and showers. We were the only guests, so it was a pleasant stay, but I can imagine it feeling crowded when full. Our twin room was only 8 m2, cosy for two but with little luggage space and no wardrobe. It had its own fridge, since the shared kitchen has no common fridge. The men’s shower wasn’t working, though we could use the one in the sauna block. The separate men’s and women’s saunas were excellent and included, with hours from 18:00 to 21:00.

They charged me over 55 euros for a three-minute call to customer service. When I emailed to ask why, they completely ignored me. Terrible service. Don’t call them or support these people!
