The setting is lovely and the house itself feels cozy, if a little dated. Shops and restaurants are about a 20-minute walk away. The cleanliness, though, was awful. The dishwasher hadn't been emptied, the floors and cupboards were dirty, and there was underwear in the washing machine. We also found rubbish in drawers, toilet paper in the toilet, a tissue under a rug, fingernails on the kitchen cupboard beneath the stairs, an overflowing vacuum bag, a filthy oven, toothpaste on a light switch and old food in cupboards. We emailed to complain and were told the family before us had left Satumaa in a terrible state and there hadn't been enough time to clean properly. They said someone would come to see what could be done. A bottle of sparkling wine was left on the kitchen table that evening, but after that we heard nothing. When I followed up later to ask when anyone would come, there was no reply at all, even to this day. This shouldn't have been left for us to deal with. Cleaning time needs to be allowed, and the apartment was so dirty that I can't believe it was only the previous guests' fault. We left it cleaner than we found it, yet we're being charged for final cleaning. That's infuriating. I don't think this is how paying guests should be treated, and I strongly advise against staying here.
