There’s plenty to enjoy outside, including a rowboat and fishing poles guests can use, plus a grill and lots of tables around the beautiful grounds. Don’t miss the wood-burning sauna by the lake, either. It’s easy to go straight from the sauna into the lake. The rooms have been renovated beautifully, and the hosts, who grew up in the area, were courteous and helpful with local information. We’d definitely recommend B&B Taipaleeniemi.

We stayed in the smaller suite in the main building, and I’d highly recommend it. The bed and pillows were great, and the facilities have been renovated with very good taste. The host was friendly and helpful, with great tips. There are free rowboats, and the place is 18+. Bring your own toiletries, like hair products. The wood-burning sauna is fantastic, right by a sandy beach on Saimaa.

The rooms are lovely and have air conditioning. It’s a quiet, beautiful place with its own beach and a sauna by the lake. The hosts were very friendly. Highly recommended.

We’d love to return. The lakefront setting was beautiful, and the staff and hosts were so welcoming. We enjoyed both the sauna overlooking the lake and the BBQ hut, where we made flamed salmon.
