The owner is cheating customers. There’s no way this should be called a brand new five-star cottage, and it wasn’t worth what we paid. Apart from the log cabin itself, the materials are cheap and the quality is very poor. Four tiny, uncomfortable bedrooms have been squeezed in at the expense of common sense. Imagine eight people lining up for the only toilet or shower. The bathroom is cramped, with nowhere to put your things. The bedrooms have no proper wardrobes or shelves, so there’s nowhere for clothes. We were told bed linen and towels aren’t provided. There were no kitchen towels or table mats either. The cooking surface is too small and awkward to use a pan and pot at the same time, so how are you meant to cook for eight? The oven doesn’t work. There were no fresh kitchen cloths or sponges, and using the dirty ones was unpleasant. There’s nowhere to dry clothes indoors, while the uncovered outside rack gets soaked when it rains. The washing machine didn’t work properly. When we tried it, five liters of foul-smelling water ran onto my feet. The boat is small and uncomfortable, and its pedals were fitted the wrong way around, crossing left and right, so it couldn’t be rowed until we fixed them. The pier is small and very awkward, and the steps to it are dangerous. There were no life vests except ones in children’s sizes. The cottage was dirty and dusty, and there was no information booklet. The owner seems not to care about the business at all.
