The heated drying cabinet was extremely useful for our skiing clothes and gear. The rooms, though, felt straight out of the 1990s, and the rugs seemed dirty. There were no bedroom slippers, and towels weren't changed daily. Breakfast had a good spread, but it tasted like reheated food.

The location was perfect for us, with all our picks at the bottom of the hill, no more than a 2 minute walk away. Staff were great, and the food was alright with plenty of options. Our room had three single beds, with two pushed together as a double. For what we paid, I expected a good night's sleep.

The location was the highlight of our stay at Crazy Reindeer. Shops and excellent restaurants are within walking distance. I recommend Pizza de Levi, Colorado, and Old Mates, a British pub, for good food and service. The hotel itself felt dated and badly in need of renovation, so I don't think it offered good value for money. Our room had two single beds and a sofa bed we didn't need, since it was just my partner and me. There was a persistent drain smell, and the shower pressure was strangely strong, but there was no shower head, so it was awkward to use. The advertised sauna was only open from 5 PM to 9 PM and could fit at most four people, which was disappointing. Check in was frustrating. Reception was busy, and we were told it wasn't until 4 PM. Nobody explained what the hotel offered or where to find the amenities, which would've helped. The buffet was mostly cold and tasted like reheated leftovers, disappointing for the price. Drinks also cost extra, which we hadn't encountered at an all inclusive place before.

The location and service were great, and for the money we paid, the stay was okay. The rooms feel old and could use some modernising. We stayed in two: the first had a drying cabinet, very useful in Lapland in winter, while the more expensive second room had none and came with an old, broken hair dryer. Breakfast was the same every day for all 6 mornings, with no variety.
