The place itself is nice, but the service didn't match what we paid. On our first night, the hot water ran out, and when we called, the owner just explained why there wasn't any, in a way that made it sound like we were to blame. Only four people got to shower that night. At this price, you'd expect the basics to be available. We also never received the champagne that was supposed to be included.

Plenty of space, plus a pool table, karaoke, and a music system. A fantastic place to stay, highly recommended.

We chose the cottage for my sister's birthday with the whole family, but there were several problems. The bedrooms made it hard to arrange beds for everyone, especially the small children: two rooms had two beds, while the others had three to five. The billiard room got plenty of use from the adults and teenagers, though the vomit smell in there was awful. The location was good, and the cottage had room for everyone. But hot water ran out after only a small part of our group had done laundry, and there wasn't enough for the sauna and showers you'd expect in a 16-person cottage. We called the landlord after 9 pm and were told it would return in a couple of hours. It didn't. On a second call, he said 1 am. We didn't stay up to find out if that was true. He then tried to sell us use of the outdoor hot tub for an extra charge because of the hot water shortage. The renter's parents welcomed us and stayed much longer than needed, giving advice about things like the fireplace and ice maker. The children even wondered aloud if the older couple would ever leave. We were also promised sparkling wine and a barbecue on the website, but saw neither. We paid an extra €5 per person for satin sheets, yet every bed had ordinary cotton ones. I wouldn't rent this cottage again.

There was plenty of room for our group, and having three toilets was a plus. The billiard room was used a lot, although it had a slight vomit smell. We arrived excited to use the hot tubs, but the welcome at the cottage went on too long, with instructions for every small thing. Laminated instructions would have been easier, with only the key points explained in person. We didn't need a demonstration of how to open the ice maker and scoop out ice cubes, for example. The bigger issue was the hot water. There were 16 of us, and only five managed to wash before it ran out. The owner said the heating wouldn't be turned back on until 1 am. For a cottage meant for a large group, the hot water should last longer. Some of us went to the spa to wash the next day.

The cottage was clean, though I didn't stay there myself; my clients had rented it. The setting is on a steep slope, which gets very slippery in spring. They were surprised to find an older couple at the cottage when I brought them after 4 pm, and the couple returned at 11 am on departure day. They stayed a long time on arrival, too. It felt rude and rather like being policed. There were signs in the yard and on the terraces saying that anyone pictured peeing would be fined €50 for visible urine marks in the snow. What about dogs relieving themselves on the village's roads? Would the renter have to pay for that? Something about how Ansajotos 8 is run seems very strange. I catered for my clients myself, making breakfasts and bringing reindeer meat once. The lady of the house saw me and said I had made the stir-fry at home in my own kitchen. She also saw me take a 5-liter pot for mashed potatoes and a 1.5-liter pot for the stir-fry, then bring them to the cottage, wash them, and return them to the same cupboard. I only used the cottage's plates and glasses otherwise, and had my own frying pan for eggs. After the clients left, I got a call saying the 3-liter pot was missing. I explained I hadn't used one that size. The lady thought a stir-fry for five people couldn't fit in a 1.5-liter pot. My clients won't rent this place again, unfortunately.
