Vuokatti Sport Resort

It was a very enjoyable stay, especially with the great company. The activities suit a wide range of fitness levels, and geocaching was a particular highlight. The buffet changes from day to day but was solid overall. Getting there and leaving are probably the main hassles, though minor ones. For a workshop, the place works well, with conference rooms that have sliding walls to allow separate sessions at the same time. I'd accept an invitation back. The rooms are a weaker point: somewhat small and not always very bright. There's a washing machine, but no dryer.

The lack of basics made this a really frustrating six-week stay with my college group. We were placed far from everything, and the internet was too poor for my college work. There wasn’t even an oven tray, so I couldn’t cook for myself. I asked reception six times before getting one, and the tray they gave us didn’t fit the oven. After five days without the cleaners coming, I went to ask for clean towels. A young blonde receptionist asked why I was there and said our group was annoying because we asked for too much and sat using the lobby internet all day. We wouldn’t have needed to ask so often if we’d been given towels, something to use the oven with so I wouldn’t go hungry, and Wi-Fi to contact home and do my coursework. I won’t come back.

There are excellent facilities nearby. The rooms themselves are good, though they can feel cramped if you’ve brought sports equipment.

A wide range of sports facilities here, great for training.
