The sauna was working perfectly, and we had a great time there during our break at the end of February. The house was spotless when we arrived, with heated floors throughout. The owner welcomed us warmly, spoke Russian and English, and gave us all the information we needed. He was also there to help whenever something came up. One of the best holidays I've had. I'd recommend it for a cosy getaway that still has a bit of adventure and fun.

The cottages are comfortable and well built, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a great stay by one of the Saimaa area lakes, close to Sulkava, where lots of visitors go fishing. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed because of COVID. Hopefully it's open again when we come back.

We were lucky with the weather and spent plenty of time swimming in the lake and watching the sunsets. The cabin was lovely, very clean and well equipped, and had a sauna too. Boats and bikes were available at no extra cost, and the service was impeccable. A peaceful, special spot with a classic Finnish cabin feel.
