Forenom Aparthotel Tampere Kaleva

I paid nearly 10€ a day for parking throughout my stay, following Forenom's instructions, but still got a ticket from AIMO Park for using an outdoor space marked with a sticker. The spaces weren't clearly identified, though the one I used did have a rather worn sticker. Surely Forenom could mark them properly and check which ones are actually available to paying customers. I called customer service at 7 am and waited ten minutes, only to be told to call back after 8 when they open. So here's a warning for others while I wait to try again :)

We liked our stay and would go back. The room was quiet apart from guests coming in at night, which you could hear because the sleeping alcove is right by the entrance. It was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with a separate living area and sleeping nook, a large bathroom with shower and washing machine, and a kitchen with a fridge and freezer compartment, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, stove, and oven. There was a TV, sofa, living room tables, and a small dining table with two chairs. Parking in a cold garage cost 12.40e per day and had to be booked ahead by calling customer service. The tram makes getting to central Tampere easy, and you can pay at the reader with a bank card. Kaleva Prisma and S-market are close by. The price is affordable for a same-day booking.

The new building has a nice interior, and the apartment was generally clean. Still, there were stubborn stains, sticky handles, and plenty of dust under the furniture. Some basics were short too, including cutlery and toilet paper. Parking information could be clearer.

For self-catering, this is an affordable apartment in a handy Kaleva location near the city center. It had everything from a dishwasher to a washing machine. The main drawback was the shortage of parking spaces.
