It's easy to catch a bus into Tampere city from here. The camping is okay, with the basic facilities you'd expect, but there isn't much to distinguish it from other sites. Having just one place with washing machines is inconvenient, especially when it's busy. More machines spread around the area would help.

If you're hoping for a good night's sleep on holiday, I have bad news: from around 3 a.m. the seagulls start up for hours, loudly enough to wake you. The place does have wildlife to watch, from mice and squirrels to ducks and seagulls. We booked a tent pitch with electricity, but the ground was so soft, almost like dough, that we had to find another spot ourselves. We found one, but it had no electricity, and reception hadn't warned us the ground wasn't suitable for a tent. The campsite is worn out and clearly needs renovation. Even the kitchen has no kettle for boiling water, which is important when you're staying in a tent. And if you rent a SUP board, be ready to carry it yourself for a few hundred meters. Have a nice holiday! :)

The room is extremely basic, and you have to pay separately for bedding and a towel. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're in a caravan. There are much better options around.

The cleaning staff kept the facilities spotless and were always busy doing their best. We stayed two nights, and it was quite full. The city center is an easy walk away. If you're bringing a camper van, make sure to reserve a parking spot ahead of time.

We had a great stay overall, and the campsite is nicely located with its own beach. The facilities were clean and well cared for, with plenty of hot water. The downside was the ground: we were in a tent on a rainy day, and the grass was muddy with puddles.
