This place needs major repairs and new management. What they tell you on the phone doesn’t match what you find. Things in the rooms are broken: window screens, doors that are hard to close, lights that don’t work, leaking pipes, and a TV with channels missing. There’s no children’s channel like Disney, no smart TV for Netflix, and no adult channels either. There’s a lot of dust, which seems especially concerning for children with asthma or breathing problems. Breakfast is the same food every day, with eggs and more eggs. The children’s room has old, broken equipment with pieces missing. It gives the impression that guests aren’t cared for. Stay only if you have no other choice, and maybe not even then.

The staff are friendly, and there’s plenty for kids to do. You can also use the spa if that’s your thing. It’s a very good base for a few nights if you’re into outdoor sports or exploring the national park.

The staff were doing their best, but the stay was a nightmare. There’s no kettle in the rooms, and the pools were disappointing: no hot tub, and the only reasonably sized pool was too cold. Breakfast was mostly sugary junk, with no bacon. The à la carte menu didn’t have a decent steak. I’d skip this place and look for a less remote vacation spot with more activities.

The children’s play area looks impressive, but being in it made my eyes itch and my nose and throat feel sore and dry. I suspect parts of the hotel may have mold or another air quality problem. People with asthma or sensitivity to airborne toxins should consider avoiding it. Others might not notice anything during a short visit. The room was old and worn, with visible stains on chairs and elsewhere. The only thing I can say for the food is that it was generally safe and there was enough of it. Lunch and dinner buffets tasted horrible. Breakfast was about what you’d expect at a two- or three-star hotel, while the price felt closer to four-star. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you particularly want to see some trees and don’t mind paying too much for poor quality.
