We were left outside in the dark, in the Finnish countryside on a winter night, with nowhere to sleep. The hotel was shut for the season, according to the neighbors, and there was no note on the door or answer when we called. Before traveling, we had tried several times to reach reception and eventually arranged a late evening arrival. Afterward, when I emailed to ask for my money back, they were rude and said we had missed the agreed time and that the receptionist had waited for us. That isn't true, and I have a photo of the closed hotel. If someone had been waiting, why didn't they call or leave a message? They've agreed to refund two-thirds of what we prepaid, but I'm still out 180 euros. Stay away. This hotel is unscrupulous and seems to be trying to cheat you out of your money.

We were really happy with our night here before setting off on a week-long hike. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was amazing. The sauna was lovely, with a wood-fired stove and a fireplace in the dressing room. It's a great place to rest by the Teno River. When there's enough water, you can swim from the pier; otherwise, getting down to the water takes a bit of climbing.

It feels more like a home than an all-inclusive hotel, which is part of its appeal. The owners' warmth and helpfulness really stood out, even in the bitter cold. A great place to stay in nature, whether you're stopping overnight or planning a longer holiday. I recommend it!

A lovely spot for the night, with a hut that has a real atmosphere. The sauna was good, and the service was great even though we arrived late.
