The location made getting to the Flamingo entertainment complex and Jumbo shopping centre really easy. You can reach both right from the hotel without going outside. The airport is about a five-minute taxi ride away. There’s no train connection, so you’ll need to take a bus or taxi. The rooms are spacious, modern, simple, and clean. Nothing fancy, but everything works, including the symmetrical 100Mbps Wi-Fi. On higher floors facing north-west, you can get great views of aircraft landing at Helsinki airport on runways 04R or 04L. A couple of unusual touches stood out: there was a gym stick, or “jumppakeppi,” hanging on the wall. It’s just a stick, sure, but a very nice one, and I appreciated it. The hotel also went above and beyond with my Star Trek request in the reservation. Break Sokos Hotel Flamingo is only the third hotel ever to notice it and do something about it, and what they made was next-level: a bespoke welcome diorama with chocolates. Kudos to the staff for the effort! Great service overall, with simple, clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and a handy spot near the airport and Flamingo/Jumbo.

Jumpo shopping Mall is right next door, so it’s easy to get all the essentials. It’s a good choice near Helsinki airport.

It’s an absolutely beautiful hotel in an ideal location, and it feels very secure. I’d highly recommend it. There’s a spa too, but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Maybe next time.

A flight delay left me needing a room for one night. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the room was clean and well equipped.

We liked having the shops and restaurants right in the mall, including the water park, though that needs a separate ticket and isn't covered by the hotel price. Free parking was another plus, and getting there by car was easy. The self-service check-in also lets you register your car. The room was a good size, tidy, quiet, and comfortable temperature-wise, with a large TV, although we had trouble connecting an HDMI cable. Breakfast was quite good, with plenty of fruit and vegetables and gluten-free choices. The surroundings were the main drawback for us. The hotel feels a bit far from Espoo, with no pleasant park or nearby place to walk. It might work better in winter, but being indoors all the time still sounds a bit sad. We wouldn't come back, as we'd rather stay somewhere with nicer surroundings next time.
