I left my ring in the room almost three weeks ago and got it back today with help from asiakas palvelu. Huge thanks to the staff at Lecator Oy for being honest people. God bless you all!

The hot water is gone almost at once. If the upstairs neighbor showers, the water downstairs turns cold. The rooms are old and below standard, stuffy, and poorly ventilated. Heating comes from air conditioning that isn’t cleaned, so dust fills the air. There’s a whole glass wall for the window and balcony door, which leaves no privacy unless you draw the curtain and live in darkness. You can’t open the windows either, or mosquitoes fly in almost immediately. The kitchen is tiny and poorly equipped. The old, dirty mattresses are uncomfortable, and I had to clean the room myself because it hadn’t been done properly. The small washing machine sits on a cabinet instead of the floor, and the cabinet is too narrow, so the machine sticks out at an angle and makes noise. There’s no dishwasher or freezer. The smallest clothes dryer makes it hard to do a full load of laundry at once. The basic equipment is budget-friendly IKEA. Noise is another problem. If neighbors above or below are partying, you hear it in the room. When someone next door flushes, the riser beside the bed is so loud you won’t need an alarm. There’s also a sewer smell in the bathroom, especially after the upstairs neighbor flushes. These fumes seem very hazardous to your health. Some days the internet is poor, especially in the evenings. Sometimes I had trouble getting into my room and had to stand by the door for several minutes. The bathroom is unhygienic, with a terrible curtain and terrible faucet installation and selection. The faucet sticks out so much it practically takes up the shower space. There was no holder for toiletries. I had to spend an extra €150 to manage. The outdoor bins are overflowing. At least there’s a kettle and drip coffee maker. I don’t recommend the place. You won’t get any rest.

Just five minutes from Helsinki Vantaa Airport, so it was a handy spot to unwind between flights. It was quiet and clean, with everything I needed.
