Bluewater Lodge - Hostel

The beach was great for a few long walks, and there are several places to eat nearby. Blue Water Lodge worked well for my two-night stay, with clean, tidy rooms, effective air conditioning, and even a pool. Aggie, the Manager, was friendly and helpful.

I stayed here for a month and a half and had such a good time. The staff are lovely and always ready to help, including putting together an island trip that fit my budget. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the coffee was great. I'd happily come back to Nadi and stay here again. I saw some other reviews and wanted to add my experience: I stayed in two dorms and didn't have any bed bug problems. The pool was closed for two days for maintenance, but otherwise looked clean and was fine to swim in. I also saw a comment about smoke and poor air quality. That happened once, when someone nearby burned things. Bluewater couldn't control that, and I could smell it all over Wailoaloa beach, so it likely affected other places in the area too. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Fiji.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were clean and well looked after. The air conditioning helped a lot, too. Aggie and everyone at Blue Water Lodge made me feel like family from the minute I arrived. I'd gone to Fiji with a friend who couldn't make it in the end, so I was travelling alone, and the team was always glad to help with anything I needed. They even shared Christmas cake and coffee with us on Christmas Day, such a kind gesture. The only thing that could use some attention is the shower pressure. It was good one day, then very low the next. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and would recommend Blue Water Lodge to anyone going to Fiji.

There was air pollution from something being burned nearby. The fire detector needs a new battery and beeped all night. I've never seen bed bugs in my life before, and certainly didn't expect to find them in a place like this. The property wouldn't give a refund and didn't seem to care that we were just passing through. With bed bugs around, an alarm isn't needed to wake you up.
