After a long hike, the meals were just what I needed. The pot au feu was the best I've ever tasted. The hosts were helpful and patient with my limited French, and having a private bathroom was a real bonus. Everything was excellent. I'd happily stay again on my next trip.

This small Gite has a real community feel, with everyone sharing meals. Philip served a local aperitif and talked us through the local food. The rooms were comfortable and the whole place was extremely clean. Philip and Valerie are lovely hosts. We stayed two nights and can thoroughly recommend it.

The four-bed room was comfy and the location was great. I did feel a little sick after the gratin, though, probably because it had more cheese and grease than I'm used to.

After a full day on the trails, this was a great place to stay. The cosy, clean rooms and delicious homemade food, made with local products, were much appreciated. The hosts were really nice and gave good advice about places to stay and things to do nearby. Abriès is well worth visiting, and I'd strongly recommend "Ancolie Bleue" if you go.

Cyrille and Emilie gave us such a warm welcome during our five days at Gîte Ancolie Bleue, and the meals were delicious. They even prepared vegetarian food especially for me. Their homemade treats included jam, yoghurt, bread and fruit jelly, plus gentiane white whine. We also enjoyed a tasty local beer on their sunny terrace. I hope to come back and see more of the beautiful massif of Queyras!
