Ibis Acheres St Germain En Laye

The evening staff were incredibly unpleasant, and the noise from slamming doors showed no respect for other guests. I often go to Achères, but I really can't recommend this hotel. The location isn't great either, so avoid it. For three nights, we paid €346 without breakfast, with the car left on the street because parking costs €10 per night. That was incredibly expensive for the same service I've had at other hotels, and I've stayed in quite a few. The pet charge is €15 per night, yet you have to bring your own blanket. I've never come across that before. The heating was ridiculous, set to 25 degrees Celsius, and I slept very poorly. Some of the amenities weren't working, and even though I complained, they still weren't fixed the next day. We had a terrible time and, after just three nights, I won't set foot in that hotel again.

That birthday surprise you arranged for my darling made our stay unforgettable. The whole team was so kind and thoughtful, and we were touched that you didn't charge us for the drinks. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. Thank you so much!

Breakfast was very satisfying, with plenty of choice, fresh pastries, cheese, and detox juice. The room itself was clean and modern, though very small. A plastic sheet under the cotton one was unpleasant to sleep on, since you naturally sweat at night. I understand it protects the mattress, but it feels quite disgusting for a guest. The hallway smelled musty, the ceiling had stains, and the windows were very dirty. The tourist tax was far too high for us, and we only learned the final price at the hotel.

We booked after midnight and got there at 2:00 AM. The gentleman who greeted us explained that booking a room after midnight for that morning usually wasn't possible, but he sorted it out and checked us in manually. He was helpful and understanding. Thanks again!
