We come here for 12 years running. Early fall is a lovely time to stretch summer a little longer.

Really nice.

We keep coming back, now for the sixth time, because the setting is so beautiful. The holiday homes sit on an artificial peninsula in the middle of the Cap d'Agde marina, and there's lots to do, including a good range of things for kids. Some parts feel dated, though. The house furniture, for instance, seems to be the same as it was around 20 years ago. Even so, it's worth making the long trip.

We found it good value when we stayed in October. The house had direct access from an underground parking space, a little fenced garden, and an older hot tub whose water was tested every day. Dogs were welcome. The location worked well for excursions, and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance. In the evenings we could have a drink at the promenade bar. We'll come back.

We started coming to the little peninsula in 2008, first through TUI, and have always liked it. The gated community is well laid out, with underground parking built into the houses. Cap d’Agde also makes a good base for trips around the area: there's history and culture, lots for children to do, wide sandy beaches, and in summer the weather brings 9-12 hours of sunshine. This review is only about holiday home number 51, so I can't speak for the other property rented by Lagrange. Inside, the kitchen appliances work well and some have been replaced. We don't miss German TV, especially with free Wi-Fi and other options available. Lagrange's service is satisfactory. The linens are changed weekly, the house was impeccably clean when we arrived, and the new garden hot tub is checked and cleaned each day by the friendly property manager. The house itself is where things have slipped. It hasn't been modernized or updated in 15 years, and the wear is obvious. For the price, particularly in peak season, I would expect defects to be professionally fixed. The bathrooms badly need renovation. Rising damp in the living room and especially the kitchen, plus mold under the sink, bothered us most. It leaves a musty smell in the basement. If those problems were sorted out, we'd gladly holiday there again.
