We spent three nights, and our south-facing room looked out over the back of the block. It was very clean and well equipped, and the bed was comfortable, with spare pillows. Staff were friendly and could speak English if needed. There’s an excellent bakery a 50-metre walk away, plus high-speed internet. Attractions, restaurants, and cafes are all within walking distance, and paid parking is available underground or above ground.

The hotel is well run, and the room was comfortable. Each room has a fully working, equipped mini kitchen with a small dishwasher. It works for an overnight visit as well as short or longer temporary stays. A month costs €390, with breakfast extra, and the price is reasonable. The central Agen location is handy for shops, the train station, and parking.

We only stopped for one night on the way from St Malo to the Pyrenees, so didn’t go sightseeing. We’ve visited Agen before and found it a pleasant town with plenty of character. Appart'City Agen is an easy walk from the centre, shops, bars, and restaurants. Our apartment was clean, with a good bathroom and kitchenette, and the hotel has secure parking. Nobody was at reception when we arrived, but we’d been sent the entry code and lockbox details, so getting in was straightforward.

We stayed with my partner and family close by, and would definitely come again. It’s an excellent place if you want to cater for yourself. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast, but there are lots of good, inexpensive places to eat nearby.

The first room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned. The second was barely clean, smelled really bad, and was damp. Avoid this hotel.
