The Grangerie sits in a superb spot, and our hosts made us feel so welcome. We had a lovely stay last summer, with great hikes alongside Pascal and Peaky. The meals were generous and well balanced, too.

We woke to a lovely mountain view and a generous local breakfast, even though it was raining. The room was pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. Valérie and Pascal welcomed us warmly for our one night in the gîte. After driving since early morning, it was lovely to relax by the fire and chat with them and the other guests over excellent local food. Great value for money. Thanks, Valérie and Pascal, we hope to return 😊

We came to La Grangerie in February with two other couples for a snowshoeing break. The guides knew the area so well that they found snowy spots for us to use our snowshoes, despite weeks of drought. Valérie was attentive, lively, and always smiling. The converted rural building is in a quiet valley and has a rustic feel that fits the mountain setting and ecological spirit of the stay. The rooms and bedding were comfortable, and the large dining room made it easy to share a meal and a friendly moment with other guests. Pascal served generous, original food made mostly with local products.

Valérie and Pascal made us feel right at home, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with fresh produce from the garden. Pascal's stories about his hikes were a real treat. We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this beautiful place and will definitely come back. As for the negative comments, they can only come from people who are bitter about life....

The three snowshoe outings were well planned, with varied routes through forests and open areas, over both hard snow and powder. We were glad to have a different guide on the last day. He knew his stuff, was friendly, and had a great sense of humor. The host's attitude took away from the trip. The welcome and supervision felt very cold, there were unpleasant remarks, and our dietary preferences were disregarded. The hikes were cut short, especially the second day, which lasted barely four hours including breaks.
