Club Med La Plagne 2100

Our kids loved ski club and came bounding out every day, so excited. Ruben, the manager, was fantastic, and Paco was a brilliant ski instructor. The food and accommodation were superb too, and all the staff went above and beyond with a smile. We were really impressed with our Club Med stay. Thank you all!

You can step right from the hotel onto the piste, and our clean room had lovely mountain views. Meals offered lots of variety and choice. The kitchen put on lovely Christmas treats, including macarons and champagne, and there was a beautiful fireworks display. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the ski equipment was good quality, with helpful staff on hand.

Skiing was a highlight of our week, and the photographer, whose name I’m sorry I’ve forgotten, was warm, friendly, and great to talk to. Valerio at the bar was another standout, and David was an incredible ski instructor, an easy 11/10. It was our fifth Club Med stay, but this time the food fell short of what we’ve come to expect. Some dishes were dirty, and much of the food was cold. Most of the staff also didn’t seem very happy. The hardest part of the week was an encounter with the Event Project Manager. We only asked why the schedule had changed, since we wanted to understand and didn’t mind the change. His response felt rude and aggressive, completely out of proportion, and left us humiliated and uncomfortable. We wondered whether his attitude might have been influenced by us being a same-sex couple, something we hadn’t experienced at another Club Med. We told the GM, who was warm and apologetic, but were disappointed that there was no follow-up given how serious it felt. The incident cast a shadow over the rest of the week. We still had a good week, especially on the slopes, but left wondering if staff morale is part of the problem here.

François and Hugo made the teen club feel welcoming from the first day. They’re energetic, friendly, and great at drawing everyone in, even if you’re shy. The activities were exciting, organized, and never dull, and they made sure everyone had a good time. They were easy to talk to, always available, and encouraging. Thanks to them, I made great memories and new friends. If you’re a teen coming here, you’re lucky to have them as G.O.s. Highly recommend!
