Hôtel Argi-Eder

We stayed four nights and spent our first hot afternoon unwinding by the pool and in the garden. The hotel restaurant was closed that evening for its weekly day off, so we ate in town, but we really enjoyed the food there on the other three nights. Having dinner included in our booking turned out to be a very good choice. Eating outside by the pool was lovely, and breakfast there was very good too; there's plenty of indoor space for colder days. Our renovated room felt cosy and had a very good bed. The two brothers run the place, one in charge of the hotel and the other of the kitchen, and all the staff were very friendly.

We couldn't get WiFi in our room during the day or by the pool, which was the one downside. The pool itself is big, with lots of sun loungers, and the poolside service was fantastic. There are also some really special historic local artifacts around the hotel. The restaurant staff, receptionist and food were fantastic and made our two nights feel special. Highly recommended!

After cycling over from Bayonne, we were glad to relax in the hotel's lovely pool before dinner. The meal was really enjoyable, with a decent selection of tasty meat and fish dishes and French and Spanish wines. Breakfast was nice too, with local treats such as Bayonne ham and bread and cheese from the region. Our room looked newly renovated when we stayed at the end of July 2020, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The precautions against Coronavirus seemed exemplary, and the other guests followed them too, which helped us feel safe.

We stayed in early August in the tradition bedroom, with a balcony and a table in the room. It was spacious, and the whole stay was made special by amazing service. The hotel is about a five minute walk from Ainhoa, with an elevator, a big parking area, a gigantic pool and an excellent restaurant.
