The room had a lovely view, and every meal we had was stunning. Staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful too. We found the whole place delightful. The public spaces had stylish modern decorations that worked well with the period architecture. We passed the manager at reception once, and they were very friendly and solicitous. The reviews here seem to be from a while ago.

Enjoyable, though it costs a bit much.

The food was a letdown, even though the menu descriptions sounded tempting and the ingredients looked high quality. The veal rice was overcooked, and its breading ruined the dish. The lobster fritter seemed more like a shrimp fritter, and could have passed for a Chinese dish with sweet and sour sauce. Dessert had no taste at all; I wondered if anyone in the kitchen had tried it. At €90 per person with wine, it just doesn't feel worth the price. The wine list was very limited, with one French and one Chilean white, plus one French and one Chilean red. The setting is tasteful, but the owner's manner didn't live up to it. She was very unpleasant and not at all customer-oriented.

What a beautiful place. It's a real shame it's closing.
