It was 40c, and I was surprised to find our room was in the basement. The room was very old and smelled bad, with no water bottle provided. They said there would be no breakfast because of Covid, and the room wouldn't be cleaned apart from changing the towels. We had booked 10 days, but managed to cancel after one night with difficulty. It badly needs modernising, and I wouldn't recommend it to people with allergies.

It's clean and OK in that respect, and about a 20 min walk into central Aix. The place has a very particular feel, like stepping into the early 80's. Everything is old-fashioned, so it could suit you if that's your taste, but it's definitely not for someone looking for something modern. The owner is kind and keeps a close eye on what's going on.

I loved the peaceful, pretty setting and the warm welcome. It's traditional and charming, with lots of character.

The owner and his employee were both lovely, and we can't wait to come back next month. This place is full of history, and I felt like a princess in the comfortable room, which was decorated beautifully and with good taste. Thanks for everything.
