La Maison d'Aix

The room was spacious and very clean, with a super comfortable bed. We also loved the unusual setting for the steam room and cool plunge, a real treat. The hotel's in a terrific spot, an easy five-minute walk from the old town. From the welcome at arrival through checkout, everything felt first class. One of the best hotel stays we've had. Breakfast at La Maison d’Aix was one of the best we had in our two weeks in the South of France. Emma and her team made it with care: crusty bread, creamy butter, local jam, and eggs cooked just right. Their local tips also made a real difference to our time in Aix, thoughtful and genuine. We arrived late at night after booking at the last minute, and were welcomed so warmly, with a bottle of sparkling wine and delicious treats. We felt at home from the start. Our Master Suite looked out over the charming backyard and quiet front street, and was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. With only four rooms, the house feels intimate, full of character, and elegantly decorated throughout. The serene living room, heated pool, and hamman made it feel like a haven. You can feel the care and passion Emma and her husband put into every corner. We’re incredibly grateful. La Maison d’Aix became the highlight of our trip, and we'll be back. Emma greeted us with real warmth and care, making the stay feel special without any fuss. The interiors are put together beautifully, and breakfast was delicious. You have to try the fruit salad! La Maison d’Aix has a lovely historical character and a discreet, intimate feel that made us feel at home. Its location in the heart of Aix-en-Provence is perfect, too. I felt compelled to write this as soon as I left. I highly recommend it for an authentic, elegant, peaceful stay.
