Villa Roumanille

The living room had a turntable and vinyls that we could use for free, a detail we loved. Breakfast was delicious, and the lovely family running the place gave this true Provence gem its cutest charm. Our suite was amazing, thoughtfully furnished and authentically decorated. Just the South of France we dream of.

We stayed here at the end of April and had a lovely time. The room was so big it felt like being in a stately home. Cedric and Delphine were great hosts, and having parking at a charming B&B within walking distance of central Aix was a real bonus.

The hosts were kind, easy to communicate with, and happy to accommodate my special requests. I was in town for a conference at the nearby university, so the location worked perfectly, and the old city is also an easy walk along a straightforward route. It’s a beautiful, spacious family home, tastefully turned into a cozy B&B. I’d happily return, hopefully in summer so I can enjoy the garden.

The location is excellent, but I had a terrible stay in winter. The room and bathroom hadn’t been heated before we arrived, and the room stayed freezing even with the AC turned up as high as it would go. I’d only recommend this B&B in spring or summer. If you’re visiting in a colder season, go to a hotel. Also, why is the sink in a separate room from the toilet? That doesn’t feel sanitary.
