The staff are very nice, and the location works well, close to the port and a short walk from the city centre. It’s an old but clean hotel. The rooms have air-conditioning and some basic amenities, and it’s a two-star place, which is what you get. There’s quite a bit of street noise at night.

This is a two-star hotel, about as expected. It’s handy if you’re taking the ferry, otherwise it’s about a 15-minute walk to the city centre restaurants. The hotel is right on a busy road, so we couldn’t leave the windows open at night.

It was okay.

The reception staff were very friendly, but the room quality was poor for 95 euros. I was in room #6 with twin beds, and the bedding was so old I felt like I was sleeping in a basin. The bathroom also needed better cleaning: there was hair, and the toilet brush wasn’t clean. There was no hot water that morning, and the soundproofing was terrible. We could hear the neighbors talking. The bedding, cleaning and hot water all need attention. We won’t be back.

For one night, it does the job, especially compared with other places at this price. The room and bathroom are small, and the toilet is out on the landing. It’s perfectly adequate for a one-night stay, though nothing exceptional.
