Hotel Villa Martini

I arrived at night in the off season and was welcomed by a lovely gentleman. My room was spacious, quiet, and had everything I needed, including a very comfortable bed. The weather kept me from enjoying the large sea-view terrace with its loungers, table, and chairs, though the parasol could have doubled as an umbrella. Breakfast was waiting at my table the next morning, and everyone was so attentive. When I came back in the evening, the room was spotless and the tea, coffee, and herbal infusions, chamomile, verbena, linden, and others, had been replenished. The location works well for business or a holiday, and the place is set up with guests’ comfort in mind. I’ll choose this hotel again next time.

The team was wonderful throughout my stay, especially after I had a small accident at the port and fractured something. They were available for questions, restaurant suggestions, and the sea weather forecast. I was traveling alone on vacation for the first time, and I’m glad I chose Hotel Villa Martini. It’s peaceful, the welcome was warm, the room was sumptuous and very clean, and breakfast was excellent. They even accommodated my request not to have sweets in the morning. The breakfast terrace is quiet and has a beautiful sea view. The hotel is at the start of the Route des Sanguinaires. Depending on your pace, the most beautiful beaches of Ajaccio are about a 30-minute walk one way, and the city center is 10-15 minutes in the other direction. Museums, the Bonaparte House, Napoleon's Grotto, and the superb library are all walkable. A wonderful stay.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the rooms are bright and elegant, with thoughtful details that make it easy to relax. What stays with me most is the sincere, warm welcome and the calm atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Time seems to slow down there, and you can enjoy the moment. Staying at the Hotel Villa Martini left me with lovely memories and a strong wish to return.

The terrace has a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean, and shops are less than 5 minutes away. Ajaccio’s center is about 15 minutes from the hotel. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up. Madame Sophie made the stay unforgettable with her smile at any hour, constant attentiveness, and thoughtful touches. A huge thank you for everything.
